FIRST AFRICAN UNION AWARD FOR CHILDREN'S CHAMPION IN AFRICA  

During the AU award for children's champion in Africa, the AU commission received fifteen (15) nominations and ANPPCAN was among the nominees. The panel of judges met at the AU commission on the 15th and 16th June 2006 to short list the nominees and select the winner.

ANPPCAN was selected as the winner for the award. ANPPCAN won the award because of her commitment in defending the course of African children and fighting for their rights which was realised to be outstanding.

The award was presented at the gara dinner of Heads of State and Government held in Banjul, The Gambia on 30th June 2006 on the occasion of the AU Summit.
 

Kellogg's Child Development Award

 

The Kellog's award honored work in the humanitarian and social services and ANPPCAN has been recognizes an organization who has made a significant lifetime contribution to children in the areas of social services, education or humanitarian services. ANPPCAN has created, managed or otherwise supported sustainable programs which has significantly contributed to children's opportunities to be safe, to learn and to grow.
