ANPPCAN moves forward with new identity

After much deliberation, ANPPCAN has decided to move forward with a new identity. We have departed from the previous logo to reflect the positive movement that’s happening in our organization. The new logo is more in line with our goals and identity.

Foster Care program - every child, a home

A program to provide every child with a home is underway in Kasarani in Korogocho Slum in Nairobi.

The program is being implemented by ANPPCAN Regional Office in partnership with Wereldkinderen, Netherlands. Wereldkinderen, a Netherlands fostercare agency, supports children without a home, to be brought up in a family.

ANPPCAN sets Desk at Jamhuri IDP Camp

ANPPCAN Regional established an office at the Jamhuri Internally Displaced Persons(IDPs) Camp to respond to the needs of children displaced from Kibera informal settlement and adjacent areas owing to the December 2008 post-election violence in Kenya.

Many other child rights organisations joined ANPPCAN and continue to assist children in many ways including offering education, counselling, play theraphy and referral services.

The 6th phase of exchange program kicks off

The sixth phase of the ANPPCAN-FK Exchange of staff program kicked off in February 2008. In this program, just like the previous five, ANPPCAN Chapters and the Head Office exchange / rotate staff  - that is, a staff from one chapter is posted to live and work in another chapter for a period of 10 months.
